THIS IS AN EXTERNAL EVENT
DC Natives invites community members to celebrate the arrival of spring at First Flower Friday gathering on April 3 at 6pm in Brightwood. This pet- and child-friendly event will take place at a residential garden site and offers an opportunity to connect with neighbors, enjoy light refreshments, and participate in a seed and plant swap. Attendees can also learn about designing and maintaining pollinator gardens from experienced Block Captains, with an optional hands-on installation activity available. DC Natives, a nonprofit supported by the District Department of Energy and Environment and the Chesapeake Bay Trust, focuses on fostering community while creating sustainable pollinator habitats in residential spaces across the District.
