About this event

The neighborhood of Brookland has a rich and interesting history that dates back over 100 years. Come learn about that history with GBIV's walking group! Stretch your legs on a walking tour of Brookland landmarks, co-sponsored by GBIV and the Brookland Neighborhood Civic Association (BNCA). Your tour guide will be Caroline Petti. Ms. Petti is an amateur historian and a long-time resident of Brookland. She was President of the BNCA from 2009 - 2012 and continues to be actively involved in the community.

This free tour will begin at 1:00 AM at the historic Brooks Mansion at 901 Newton Street, NE, adjacent to the Brookland/CUA Metro Station. The tour will follow a round-trip sidewalk route of approximately 1.5 miles in length and two hours in duration.

In the event of inclement weather, the tour may be rescheduled. Masks are optional. Contact programs@brooklandvillage.org or (202)658-5958 with any questions or concerns.
